Leading global Gift Card provider, Stored Value Solutions (SVS), has been appointed by the John Lewis Partnership to deliver a new Gift Card programme for both the John Lewis and Waitrose retail divisions. The programme – which launched across the Partnership on 5th August 2014 in preparation for the peak Christmas season – is a new departure for John Lewis and Waitrose, as both brands had previously run a successful paper gift voucher programme. The Gift Cards can be bought and redeemed in store and online in Waitrose and John Lewis.

SVS is delivering services to the retail stores, their websites, and the B2B and B2C businesses. The John Lewis Partnership Gift Card programme is one of the largest of its type in the UK. The introduction of Gift Cards simultaneously into Waitrose and John Lewis stores is one of the largest pan-partnership IT projects ever implemented between the John Lewis and Waitrose brands.

SVS managed card and carrier production, the initial distribution to stores for launch and will also manage the ongoing store replenishment by SKU. John Lewis and Waitrose customers have given the new products the thumbs up too, as initial sales have been extremely positive, surpassing all expectations.”
